SPECIAL APPEAL
Wildlife treatment and recovery facility.
We have struggled for many years now in our ability to provide care, treatment and
recovery facilities for the many injured wildlife we take in.
Recently we have had a small building generously donated to us and we are using that as the basis of an appeal for your support to establish this much needed and better equipped facility which will greatly increase our chances of achieving a successful recovery and release back to the wild.
Now we need to fit it out.
Our greatest need is for recovery cages of various sizes of
the type shown here. These provide a comfortable environment in which injured animals can recuperate without the risk of doing further injury by to much movement.
They are exactly the
same as vets use.

Needless to say all this will cost money. The minimum number of cages we require is 5 and those, plus other bits and pieces, make the total cost about £3000. These recovery units use an anti microbial material to provide the patient with hygienic surroundings. The special formulation does not contain any toxins but reliably kills microbes, bacteria, viruses, yeast, fungi, mildew and algae which are on the surface and prevents it from re growing.

We are extremely fortunate that our Webmaster Jim and his wife Wendy have donated £1000 but now we need to turn to all of you who have the interest of animals at heart and who have seen and experienced the value of the existence of Arthurshiel Rescue Centre.
We seldom make appeals such as this but now we need your support to raise the remainder. We can promise you that any animal in our care which needs rest and recuperation in quiet clean conditions as opposed to a kennel or similar will have a greater chance of recovery and, where appropriate, release back to its natural environment.
To simplify the donation process we have linked up with Charity Giving UK who are themselves a charity set up for the purpose of stream lining the donation process for small charities like Arthurshiel. Click on this link and see how simple it is.
When you donate make sure you leave the Gift Aid box ticked as this increases your donation by 25% to us but at no cost to you. Please help us.
Shona, Tom and the volunteers are totally dedicated to the welfare of animals and each year they scrape bye with your wonderful support to provide a place where sick and injured wild animals can be given the best possible chance of recovery. All this is done in addition to re homing up to 500 dogs and numerous cats.
